Todd Owen Models

Learn more on how benefit advisors can effectively and credibly model the expected impact on projected health benefit claim costs resulting from changes to a group’s benefit plan design. John and Todd will also explore modeling the expected impact on a group’s projected claim cost resulting from changes to the group itself, e.g., the impact of changes to group size and demographics as a result of a merger or an acquisition.

About the Speaker

    Todd Owen, President & CEO is dedicated to developing innovative industry leading software solutions for pricing and analysis of healthcare plans and systems, marketing and sales of our application, and delivering a superior level of service and support for our clients.  Prior to Windsor, Todd was at Citibank for 14 years where he was Head of Risk for Citi Asset Management.  Todd holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba, and is a CFA Charterholder.

    BAN Actuarial Director

    John is a Consulting Actuary with Windsor Strategy Partners, LLC. John leads consulting on pharmacy benefits as well as taking a lead role in FASB and GASB calculations on “other post –employment benefits”. John held the Chief Actuary position at Benecard Services, Inc, an insurer of pharmacy benefit programs. He also severed as Chief Actuary for National Preferred Provider Network (NPPN), a national PPO healthcare company. Previous other employment includes being a Senior Health and Pension Actuary for both Towers Perrin in Cleveland and Deloitte & Touche in Chicago. John is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) as well as an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
